At Simonside Primary School, effective communication between home and school is a fundamental priority. We believe that strong partnerships with parents and carers help children feel supported, secure and successful throughout their school journey.

Our staff are available on the playground at the beginning and end of each school day and are happy to answer quick questions or pass on messages. If you would like to discuss your child's progress, wellbeing or any concerns in more detail, we kindly ask that you contact the school office to arrange an appointment with the relevant member of staff. This ensures that we can give you the time and attention you deserve.

We use ClassDojo as an additional way of sharing information and celebrating pupils' achievements. Class teachers will be happy to provide login details and support families with accessing the platform.

Regular communication is also provided through our school newsletters, which keep families informed about important dates, curriculum developments, school events, achievements, attendance information and key messages from school leaders. Our newsletters aim to celebrate success, strengthen our school community and ensure that parents and carers remain well informed about all aspects of school life.

We are committed to maintaining open, positive and respectful communication, working together to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child.
