Red Nose Day 2015

14th March 2015

On Friday at Simonside, we showed our funny side by helping raise money for Comic Relief!

Lots of fund raising going on...

We had a bake sale selling the cakes made by the children from the great Simonside bake off and chocolate cakes made by four Year 6 girls. We managed to sell all of the cakes (we wish we made more), so thank you to everyone who came along and bought a cake.

In the morning the whole school took part in 2 hours of dancing for our sponsored Zumbathon! We were inspired by Dermot O'Leary, who managed to dance for 24 hours! Each class took part and did their bit for charity throughout the morning. We managed to dance for a whole two hours! Well done to all of the children who took part! If you have sponsorship money, please bring it in ASAP, so we can add to our final count!

Children came to school with a funny face for a 50p dontation. There were some really funny faces, including; clowns, moustashes and comedy glasses. Thank you to all of the children who wore a funny face for Red Nose Day!

We are currently counting the money and will let you know the final money raised early next week! Thank you again to all of the Parents, Carers, family, friends, children and staff who have helped us to raise money for Comic Relief.
