Total Eclipse of the Yard!

20th March 2015

We didn't need travel to the Faroe Islands to see the solar eclipse today!

All of KS2 went into the yard at 9:15am to watch the eclipse through their pinhole cameras, which were made by the children yesterday. All of the children made sure they had their backs to the sun and they knew not to look directly at the sun. Most children were able to witness the eclipse through their pinhole camera. They really enjoyed and were amazed by this once in a life time experience.

All of KS1 and Early Years children watched the eclipse live in their classrooms, due to health and safety warnings. The children still witnessed the incredible solar eclipse and were amazed too!
